Really a home from home, where everything to make for a perfect holiday has been thought of - plenty of space, friendly and attentive hosts, a superb garden, tasty breakfasts, and freedom to come and go as much as you like. It's simple, yet it manages to surprise. Will look back fondly on this break and the historic location.. especially if you're into music. Hosts were wonderful and so kind. We have stayed here three times and have enjoyed our stays very much. Mark is super attentive and friendly and nothing is too much trouble! The bedrooms are cosy and the bathroom is spotless! This was our fourth stay at Tollgate Cottages and suffice to say we absolutely love it. Mark and Kate run a superb B&B: lovely service coupled with a glorious location. Nous avons séjourné deux nuits à Tollgate Cottage et nous avons été enchantées de notre séjour 5 étoiles ! Nous avons apprécié le gîte ( tant par son extrême propreté que par son confort et sa jolie décoration) et l'excellent petit déjeuner si bien préparé et si copieux. Quel dommage que nous n'ayons pas eu le temps de profiter du joli jardin si bien entretenu et si bien équipé de jeux d'extérieur. L'idéal pour une famille ! Et que dire de l'accueil de notre hôte ! La gentillesse, la discrétion de Mark, ses bons conseils de visites, d'itinéraires ont rendu notre séjour inoubliable. Quelques petites réparations s'imposaient sur nos vélos et c'est avec gentillesse que Mark les a effectuées. Nous n'avons qu'un seul regret , c'est celui de ne pas être restées plus longtemps à Tollgate Cottage ! Mark, ne changez rien ! If you want to chat Mark will chat and pass on his local knowledge or just leave you alone to get on with one of his personal cooked full English breakfast. I don’t think anything has been missed out. Your own lounge, fridge and microwave and dinner table for the evenings you don’t want to eat out. A warm welcome and tea or coffee on arrival. Within half a tank of petrol from central London is a perfect hideaway for family oriented breakaways. We were very grateful for the obvious care and attention to detail, and felt warmly welcome for our four night stay. The breakfasts were generous and beautifully delivered, the local knowledge informed our days, and the cottage was a calming toehold for everything the IOW had to offer.
